Nitrox Diver“Nitrox” is defined as a mixture of nitrogen and oxygen in which the concentration of oxygen is greater than that found in air. Diving with Nitrox will increase your safety underwater, increase your bottom time, and reduce the fatigue that accumulates with multiple dives. Using Nitrox safely, however, requires special training and certification. Denver Divers’ experienced instructors understand the complicated physics of nitrox diving and can teach you the necessary basics during a single four-hour academic session. The class costs $130 and includes the classroom work, the use of one free tank of Nitrox and a Nitrox certification card. Students also purchase a $60 student kit. |
