Get Certified to be an Adaptive Dive Buddy
Our adaptive divers require varying degrees of assistance in and out of the water every time they scuba dive. Whether you are a caretaker to an adaptive diver and would like to learn to dive and assist your diver or are already a certified scuba diver and want to be an adaptive dive buddy, we can help! You can become an independently certified buddy or you can get certified alongside your adaptive diver to be their trained buddy.
Buddy Completion Requirements:
During your certification process you will learn the technics of assisting an adaptive diver as well as the important safety aspects of this new diving environment. Once you are a Certified Dive Buddy, you will have the chance to work directly with an Instructor and a new or current adaptive diver.
Contact us (email@example.com) for more information to become a buddy today!

As you may imagine, the most expensive part of our program is the training and subsequently the certification of an adaptive diver in the open water. By deciding to sponsor an adaptive diver, you will change someone's life by bringing a feeling of freedom and sense of joy and accomplishment through the sport we all love, scuba!
Sponsorship opportunities are available year-round, though most of our sponsorship packages will also include tickets to our annual gala! Contact us to find out more or to sponsor a diver today.

Get Certified to be an Adaptive Diver
We humans are weightless underwater. For most able-bodied divers it feels like flying. For those with physical disabilities, it feels like freedom.
That’s why we developed the Denver Adaptive Divers program – to provide those for whom gravity is a punishing limitation with the opportunity to escape the confines of their bodies.
Denver Adaptive Divers uses the curriculum developed by Scuba Schools International (SSI) to teach disabled divers to function to their maximum ability, regardless of injury or limitation. Adaptive divers learn all the same skills as those learned by able-bodied divers, though some skills may need to be performed with help from their adaptive buddy. SSI uses a tiered rating system to indicate how much qualified outside help is required by the adaptive diver student.
